Little Fishes

Little Fishes Logo

Little Fishes is the church's baby and toddler group. We are a very friendly group who meet on Monday and Tuesday mornings from 9.30am until 11.00am; during term time; in Whiston Parish Hall on Well Lane, Whiston (S60 4HX) . During each session we have lots of toys for free play, a weekly craft session, bible stories; refreshments and - to end each session - we sing, dance and have a short prayer time. Come along, meet new friends and have some fun!

Starfish Gang meet weekly at 9.45am on a Sunday morning. We rendez-vous in the meeting room at the back of the church. This group is for school age children and young people where we come together for a fun time of bible stories, crafts and prayer; before joining the congregation in the main service.

YouthZone

YouthZone Heading

YouthZone is a group for young people aged from Year 6 to late teens. We meet monthly on a Sunday from 6.00pm until 7.30pm; usually at St Cuthbert’s Church Hall, Herringthorpe; as well as occasionally at St Mary Magdalene Church, Whiston. We also join in with activities in the wider Diocese. We have lots of fun with free time, games, crafts and bible time; plus we always include food!

Refresh@4

Refresh@4 is a service which takes place on the first Sunday of the month at 4.00pm. It is an intergenerational service aimed to welcome all ages to a very relaxed atmosphere. The service includes singing, bible stories, prayer and reflection tim; plus we join together for refreshments after the service.

Lucy and a team of volunteers from Church also visit three of our local schools with 'Open the Book' assemblies every month; where we dress up (and encourage some of the children to do the same) whilst acting out Bible stories.

Nourish

On the second Monday during term time, Nourish group meets at Church from 7.30pm until 9.00pm. This is a group for ladies to meet socially and includes a song and Bible reading. Activities we have enjoyed include a pamper evening, games night, bring-and-share food; Christmas wreath making, bell ringing; dancing and lots more.
