Prayer Groups

The Healing Prayer Group

The Healing Prayer Group meets on a Monday afternoon for one hour.

Secondly, the group is open to anyone who values time set aside to pray for those in need. Moreover, the people on the healing list have all asked for prayer: either for themselves or on behalf of others. These names are individually brought before God in a quiet, reflective way; asking for God's loving presence to be known and felt in their difficulties.

Finally, we also pray for those whose names are on our prayer board (located at the rear of the church). During our meetings, there is sometimes music or a Bible reading to help us focus on God's presence with us in that moment.

For more information about this group, please see Pam Huntington.

The Evening Prayer Group

The Evening Prayer Group meets on the final Wednesday of each month at 7.00 pm for a 30 minute period of open prayer.

We begin with a short reading or reflection; followed by prayer centered on the church, its work and the local community. We then conclude with wider prayers that members wish to share with the group.

We are currently a small group of single-digit participants, but each month it is openly announced that church members are openly invited to share in this short period of prayer.

The PCC and all church members are invited to discuss the prayer period, its format and its place in the worship and ministry of the church.

Please see Arthur Mandley for more information about this group.
